I must run, yet again. I'm sorry to leave. Honestly. I skipped the pool scene today, because my husband noticed a bit of redness on the back of my thighs and chest. I've been greasing up and trying my best to catch up with you. I've made a small dent. My nephew and his girlfriend flew home today. My brother will be here for dinner tomorrow, but is flying home to celebrate Valentine's Day with his wife on Tuesday. He will return with her and his dog in two weeks. My hubs made reservations months ago for our favorite steakhouse. Now, I'm going to hop in the shower. We have been invited to the Polo Club, where friends live. We will join a few other friends for cocktails and nibbles, and dine in the Polo Club's fabulous restaurant. No, there are no horses there, but we will have fun nonetheless. See you ASAP!

A Polo Club with no horses? Were there once horses, and was polo ever played there? I hope you have an enjoyable time dining with your friends, horses or not.

Yes, the property backs up to former farmland which was bought by polo players. Our friend was a polo player for years and played with Robert DeNiro. Gorgeous home that backs up to a gorgeous golf course. Friends from CT have a winter home there, too.

Enjoy your time out with friends and the good food and drinks. We are staying inside where it is nice and warm it has been snowing here all day on and off and windy as heck.

It's busy busy busy as life takes over! You just know when you come back here there will be tons more notifications that sneaked in . Ah but how wonderful to have such a fun social life - you can never get bored! Hope you enjoyed the Polo Club yummies! No horses? I was thinking of people there with Ralph Lauren shirts on .

You are right about the notifications. One night I reached zero. In the morning there were hundreds. I may quit. Lol! Our friend was a big trophy winning polo player. Very preppy place. Two of our friends from CT have a place there. Our friend's house and yard are covered with saddles, horses, etc. Otherwise, not a horse in sight!

We had a blast! Our friend played polo for years, and with Robert DeNiro, no less. However, the land was once farmland and bought up by some oil tycoons. Some played polo and thought the name was classy. Lol!

@DianneN Wow, I didn't realize Boca had a polo club. That's pretty cool! I used to work for the Village of Wellington, my office was right near the polo club in Wellington.

We had a wonderful time! We've been there before, but this was our first time at their home. Holy moly! It was fabulous and huge! We had dinner at the country club, which was very good and extremely reasonable. I could live there if it was on the water.

She comes for about three weeks at a time. She's a psychiatric nurse and only gets a certain amount of time off. He came for a week to open the condo, then was here for a couple of weeks to see us, have a friend visit, and because his son came down. He flew home today and will be back with his wife and dog in 17 days for several weeks. She has to save her vacation days to visit her family in Iowa and for other traveling they do. She doesn't mind him coming down alone. She works hard and uses her time to exercise and shop!

They should put hay on the floor for the polo ponies. It would make for a more interesting dining experience.

@JudyEv My son told us last night that figure skating was the most expensive sport, mostly because my granddaughter's costume this year cost $870 US dollars. I couldn't believe my ears! I imagine anything having to do with owning horses and riding is a fortune, too!

@DianneN I know polo is an expensive sport. Polocrosse was invented in Australia and is a mix of polo and lacrosse. You don't need so many horses so it isn't as expensive.
