Not prepared for this cold weather!

The temperature was increasing and finally we got some sun at the end of last week. I woke up this morning and it was cloudy outside but it looked like the sky will clear up later in the day. I started my day by going to work while I was reaching the office which is uphill, it was getting breezy and cold. I am not prepared for this cold today, people are wearing scarves and gloves and I left home without my warming accessories! Hopefully I will stay inside for the most part unless there is a client meeting somewhere else. Has it ever happened to you, to go outside without being prepared enought for the weather?

Yesterday it was warm for the season. I went out this morning to add seeds to the bird feeders and I was surprised by the cold temperature.

Same here, very nice weather in the weekend and yesterday it was cold and cloudy. Usually I check the predictions but I was late and left the house quickly!

@LadyDuck It happens very often lately. Either the weather is going crazy or the predictions are not well validated. Happy Valentine's Day!

@besweet Our weather predictions were fully wrong, they predicted a wonderful sunny St.Valentine's Day and it is cloudy, grey and cold.

I prefer warm weather. But it is also nice that we have all the seasons over here! Did you have your winter earlier in January or it's always warmer?

We had full heat on inside the office so it was warm. I had to be outside for a few hours in the afternoon and it was freezing cold.

@Beatburn it feels a lot colder at night when the sun is down. Last night was very cold as well, but I was prepared and dressed like an onion!

This has often happened to me. I would get caught out because it might be cold outside but when I got outside it might be much warmer and the clothes I was wearing would be too warm.

Yes this has happened to me as well. That's the reason I am usually choosing to wear layers so if it's warmer I take one layer off and I feel better. This time I didn't dress warm enough, I hope ai won't catch a cold.

Unfortunately the sky didn' t clear up until late afternoon so it was freezing outside for many hours. I was expecting the warmness to come but it didn't!

I live in a tropical country...but this morning I was freezing my butt off. Of course it is not as cold as where there is snow...but remember we are accustom to hot sweltering heat and any little cold means we are 'freezing'. This morning I wrapped myself in my blanket to keep warm. The kitchen sink water was freezing to touch. So, yes, I know what it is to be unprepared for the cold. And in the past, there are days I went to the office, when I was still working, and regretted not dressing properly. Hope you are able to stay inside the office and I wish you warmer days to come.

I will never get used to the cold. The best way to prepare is layering and warming accessories like gloves and a scarf. I am looking forward for the warm weather! I don't like the freezing sink water either!
