These eggs are very popular in my country. I've had them mostly boiled, mixed in salads and soups.
I've lost touch with these eggs when I migrated overseas, they were not readily available here.
But... I found a friend who looks after quails and she gave me some fresh ones. I quickly boiled some and saving some for some fried eggs.
The quails eggs taste the same as chicken eggs much better I thought as they were fresh.
Have you ever tried quails eggs? How do you like your eggs?

I have had tiny eggs in soup when having a meal on a big Chinese cargo ship. I think they would have been quail eggs but I don't know how they got the shells off the egg yet had them whole in the soup. The yolks were soft too which was another mystery.

I have never had quail eggs. They are not readily available here. I like hard boiled eggs or scrambled.

Quail eggs are popular here in Latvia. Problem is they are tiny and expensive. I have never tried them. I do like regular chicken eggs in all kinds of different ways.

i remember quail eggs (itlog ng pugo] when we were growing up and would dip in rock salt after peeling them. i also remember the small brown birds. yeah, it's been a while since i've had them, too.
i think when we're older we just have to check how many quail eggs we eat since they're small and so yummy we might not realize we've eaten the equivalent of 3 chicken eggs in one sitting hahaha!

I love quail eggs. Hmmmm! I miss this when i was a kid and we go on bus trips. There were vendors who come up the bus at the stop over and sell these boiled quail eggs in a plastic bag, neatly lined together and sold for 10 pesos. Hihihihi I would always ask my mother to buy me one or two. Hihihihi

I love the "kwek-kwek"
Tokneneng is one of the popular street foods made from chicken or duck eggs, coated with crispy orange colored batter. Although this is very popular, yet many are confused which one is tokneneng or kwek-kwek. I'm one of those confused people before but wit
