Most of my friends here know I have a lot of food allergies. The worst is corn protein, or "toxic waste" as I refer to it as.
A lot of pills have corn, in some form, in them and so I have to find alternate ways to get the medication in me.
Hydrocodone and gabapentin both have corn starch in the pills, so I have to take them in their liquid form.
Neither of them taste exactly wonderful, but not the worst I've tasted.
However, the hydrocodone stings, painfully, when you have a sore in your mouth.
So, tonight, when I took it, I had to sit at my desk for several minutes waiting for the pain to pass.
Now, I've mentioned to my wife that they don't taste real good. She has said something about the taste, but considering how much worse medications I've taken, they really aren't in the same league.
Imitrex nasal is way worse tasting than either of these meds. But in 1999 I got bronchitis and ended up on 4 rounds of antibiotics before I finally kicked it. The last one, who's name I can not remember, was even WORSE than the Imitrex.
Do you have trouble taking pills? I don't have trouble, I just have problems with the taste of the meds.

I don't have trouble taking pills. Agree with you that some meds have a very awful taste.
