My Million Dollar eye drop idea (Maybe)

After waking up at about 4:30 AM the other day, I needed to go our for an appointment at 7:30. I felt more than a little bleary-eyed despite three cups of strong black coffee. Then I remembered that I had some eye drops. They are for allergies, but feel soothing when my eyes are tired, so I used them and it helped some. But as I did, this idea came to me. What if these soothing eye drops had some caffeine in them? I don't mean like black coffee, but maybe some refined form. Just think, the drops in the eye go straight to the brain, instant clarity and that caffeine energy as well! This is not something that I am going to try to concoct myself though. I am sending out notice to my ophthalmologist that he can put his name on these and make us both wealthy. Now, of course, this is a tongue in cheek idea that just passed through my caffeine-stimulated brain momentarily. I have had many more and probably none are feasible. Do you ever get harebrained ideas about inventions?

I'm wondering if someone could invent caffeine patches, sort of like how they have nicotine patches. Or maybe caffeine gum. Me and @infatuatedbby have come up with about a dozen inventions that would make us rich, but unfortunately I can't remember any of them right now because I haven't had my morning coffee yet! haha

I like to think of ideas here/there. :) Jeff needs to hurry up & get to the patent office & get going for the projects.

@JamesHxstatic As soon as I finished commenting on your post, I went into the kitchen and made me a pot of coffee.

I think that there is (or was) caffeine gum on the market. I like the idea of patches. Finishing my first cup here at 7:30 here this morning.

I have in the past. I came up with the idea to have tunnels and shelves along the walls in a special room for cats. Then I saw something just like it on the net. Imagine my surprise.

Lots of time but it was just in jest and as it was not written down, I can't remember any of them.

If you think your idea will give you clear eyes go for it and put me on the buyer's list. Who would not want a one time effort rather than putting drops thrice a day

I do not know if our eyes would appreciate to receive drops of coffee as much as our mouth does, but you can try.

@JamesHxstatic Surely clear, not to stain our eyes. I have the habit to put eye drops three times a day every day, I have glaucoma.

It would have to be a refined blend, maybe clear even.

You may well call it an inspiration.Perhaps many inventions originated from the harebrained ideas .

Yes, and like yours, mine will probably go nowhere fast! Did you get a response from your ophthalmologist?

I have hairbrained ideas all the time, but never do a thing about them. If your idea takes off, I will buy some of those drops. Btw, I'm having a cup of caffeine right now.

I have a friend that swears he had a million dollar idea one night, but can't remember what it was because he was partying so hard that night. Should have written it down!
