Cheating on My 365

I've wrote a few times about my 365, but for those of you who missed those posts, my 365 is to make 3 yo-yo's each day all year.
Not yo-yo's on a string, but yo-yo's made with fabric as you see in my picture.
The picture is currently how my box looks---or how it did Tuesday for my weekly WIP Wednesday post on my blog.
I'm cheating because I worked ahead knowing that I want to work on my guild challenge. Is that really cheating? I'm still putting 3 into the done bags in the box each day. So that is still a habit.
For those of you who don't know what the 365 is---you pick something you are going to do each day for 365 days, or the whole year. This is to be something that you enjoy, not a household chore! I'm sewing the yo-yo's. I read a book and the lady felted a gnome every day of the year. In the movie Julie and Julia, she cooked a recipe from the Julia Child cookbook.
I'm already thinking that next year my 365 will be to read a chapter in a book each day since I am having trouble finding time to read.
Anyway, the purpose of the 365 is to establish a habit. They say that establishing this one habit will carry on to help you establish other habits. I'm not sure if that is working or not, but I like the idea.

Well, that could have been another good one for me but I blew that one in January and already this month I've missed 3 days. I can't even get to $4 let alone $5.

I've not heard of this idea before. I figured you wanted to get the yo-yo's done and decided this would be one way to do them. Will you use them in a quilting project or something like that? I'm a bit curious how they are made not that I think I'd be doing any in the near future.
I'm going to be having three months off of work, so I'll think about what I can do each day for the first three months and see if I can continue to fit it into my schedule once I got back to work at both jobs sometime around June.

I have a lady who contacted me through my etsy messages that wants me to make her 2 valances and a table runner with the yo-yo's. She doesn't want them until close to Christmas time. It will take me that long to get them made then crossing my fingers she doesn't change her mind about buying them once I am done!

@marsha32 I'm sure they will look cool. If she does change her mine, maybe you could sell them on one of your other sites instead.

I have seen those before and wondered what they were. That is an interesting thing to do something every day for the year.

The yo-yo's can be used in a lot of ways---as a complete quilt, curtains, decorations for your bags or quilts etc. I have an idea on how I want to use some of them on a quilt top that's needed to be finished for a couple years or so now.

Waaaahhhhh I hope to destroy my habit every year and that is laziness! Lol! I love reading a book but it makes me feel more lazy or think that what I have done in the while day was seat and finish a book. I so. Times make profit from it but it doesn't really compensate the unproductive day of mine... The only thing that makes me read is... It makes me happy and explore the world and another world without paying expensive travel fare. Lol! God bless.

I know lots of people that just read and read and read some more. I have wondered how they do it. If a book is really good I can see that, but most of the time reading just makes me tired.
