What Is Your Favorite Meal To Make?

I have read a lot of you posting about a meal you are fixing. Excited about the meal. I wonder what your real favorite meal is. Chicken and dumplings? Curry dishes? Your individual favorite?
I can remember fixing my first recipes back when I was married to my daughter's dad. I was nineteen and just starting out with a set of heavy iron skillets. I made a mess. I had been brought up around my grandmother who made everything from scratch. My mom was a great cook too. Always inventing a new meal from scratch. No recipe. I wish I had those well seasoned heavy skillets now.
I got away from recipes for the most part and forged forth making my grandmother's dishes but with my own flair added. I can remember several phone calls to her when I was making noodles or something from scratch and it wasn't working. I can make her roast but I add a spice that really adds to the flavor and I use horse radish which I love. I know how to pick a good roast and how to check for marbling so it is tender and delicious.
I love porksteaks. But they have to be cooked in the oven and almost burnt so you have the flavor of the fat that should be bordering the meat.
I roasted a pork roast out on the grill we had at my last husband's house one time. We were having guests and I wanted it to be perfect. I put rosemary and lavender all over it and stuck some garlic in it too. It turned out delicious. Just a hint of lavender and such a good flavor.
Yes, pork is my favorite meat. Then seafood. I love salmon and trout too. What is your favorite meal or meat to cook?

Stuffed Shells. It is simple to make.
Fry up some sausage (I tend to use mild pork sausage or sausage with sage) and set to the side. Boil up the shells and let cool. Since I have no patience, I tend to "shock" the shells by putting them in ice so that they will be cool enough to manipulate.
Then stuff the shells with spinach that I've heated in the microwave, some of the sausage, a bit of cheese and cover with spaghetti sauce and more cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and voila.
My best friend's mom introduced me to these and I in turn started cooking them for my family. They are a big hit. I always make one small lasagna pan full and a medium sized one too. That way there are left overs.

It does sound good. Left overs of our favorite dishes are definitely good.

@celticeagle Even better when you are the only one within the household to eat leftovers!

Well I love a good steak. But one of my favorite meals is a simple one. It is egg noodles and cream of chicken soup poured on it. I will sometimes add more chicken.. And it tastes better if you get the Campbell's cream of chicken soup with herbs... But do easy and so tasty!

I love pork steak. Since last summer, haven't eaten it. Favorite supper these days?? Thinking. Roommates egg rolls come to mind. My food life is so changed now. I like cous cous in green pepper halves. Barley pilaf is tasty. This week one supper will be unsweetened apple pie and salad. Not sure this answers your question.
