The Mylot Lure

I left Mylot over 4 years ago when the site completely changed.
Then a friend of mine told me it was up and running again
, so i decided to check it out and i'm glad i did. since i notice quite a few people i knew way back when, have returned as well Plus of course the added incentive of meeting new people
.
What i would like to know is, if you were a former member,what motivated you to return here? and as a relatively new member, what brought you here? and (besides being paid), what do you like most about being here ?

I am not a new member 
I am quite old nw (in more ways than one 
) and I missed my 'home online' when I was not here. I just couldn't seem to get back into a routine but I kept getting nudging messages from someone here and the last one sounded like an untimatum 
I came nack at the end of last year and I'm so pleased that I did!
It's good to see you back and you will soon notice that there are many familiar faces still around

@jujunme I wish I could get to more posts but I can't be here as much as I would like to be. I steal breaks during other things throughout the day and then get a longer stretch in thel evenings.
Just wondering.... you do know that things have changed here now and that we earn when others react to our posts, responses and comments, right? It took me a bit to get used to that when I returned but it makes sense on a discussion site like myLot should be

Oh sure, basically it isn't much of a change since back then you got barely nothing for just posting a discussion. the responses and comments were always the best way.but thanks for the update

I have been here for 11 years. I never really left. When the site changed, I used it to share my blog links. I don't post all the time but I do comment alot.

@jujunme Actually I think you would be surprised at how many members are still around since before the change. Some stayed around like me. Otherwise left but came back after learning Mylot was back to paying again. @ElusiveButterfly is a member that is still around after 11 years.

I was a member of MyLot several years ago, and left when they stopped paying. I came back when I was looking for an alternative to the now-defunct Bubblews, and heard that MyLot is paying again. So I guess my motivation to return is money! I don't know if I have a favorite feature besides getting paid. I like being able to post on just about any topic.

Very straight forward answer i think a lot of people returned for the very same reason i know mine was one of them but, i also missed some of the veteran members who i interacted with daily.

myLot with their reintroduction of paying for activity brought back many who had left the site. Some did continue at the old site but there was no point in being there as the field at times was empty.

I am pretty sure someone on Bubblews pointed me here. I really cannot remember what prompted me to come. Maybe that the people I knew there landed or were already here and I didn't want to lose the relationships and of course, meeting new people is always nice.

I came back for the same reasons
After being a member for 7 years i missed the relationships i formed and i always enjoyed meeting new members . i love the interaction , i don't think many websites offer what this one does so i'm here to stay

I love this site. And as you know have been a member for 11 years and that speaks volumes. I did leave for a while because many of the people that I had connected with left. And they stopped paying too. That was the end all.
@Gardengerty told me that they were active here again and I came back. Many of my old friends were here too. Now I have made new friendships and am here most every day, unless life happens and I need to attend to things in real time.
