Having watched the movie before I thought I would watch it again and hope not to shed a tear. Yeah, that didn't go well. I still cried.
Love the movie. It touches my heart. But, it also hits close to home with the main character having Alzheimer's.
If you have never watched the movie, I recommend you watch it. Keep the tissues handy though.

Another movie that I have loved is "The Bridges of Madison County." That one brings me to tears too. Have you seen that one @Kandae11?

I saw this movie many years ago - a sobber for sure. It was good though these days I tend to seek out movies that don't make me cry.

I don't intend to cry when I watch any movie. However, my old soft heart sends the tears flowing when there is a movie that gives me cause to cry.

@JudyEv you should rent the DVD if you can. It is a very moving film. Yes, there are sad moments, but it all plays out well.

@ElusiveButterfly No I haven't. We went to the drive-in once and saw 'The Heart is a Lonely Hunter' and that was very sad with a terrible unexpected sad ending. We were both so upset we drove away without putting the speaker back out on its stand. The brought us back to earth pretty quickly.

Funny that my heart ached at the same moment every time. Some of the scenes really get to you.

Oh if is a tear jerker. I will pass. I tend to avoid them. As tear jerkers lead to migraines. I will take your word to it being a good movie.

@ElusiveButterfly I have come across a few like that. I watch it once. Once is enough for me. My daughter enjoys those tear jerkers films. I will ask if she has seen it yet. If she has i will let her let me about it.

They play it in a loop. As soon as the credits run at the end, they start up from the beginning.

I started watching it when they were dancing in the street, watched it til the end. Then watched it again from start to finish. I am a glutton for punishment. Cried again.
