My Car is Fixed

Well, well, well.......hubby went yesterday and bought the water pump for my car (and anti-freeze to refill the radiator. He paid my son $20 to come help him put it on. It's working great again, which was a nice feeling to get in it last night and drive it again. I hate to say it but I can only assume her got it done so quickly because when it went out there was several others here at the house. I made the statement "oh great, here goes another 2 years it's going to sit in the driveway before it can be fixed" He had to prove that wasn't true, but whatever works. As far as my trying to earn my own money to get it fixed, that was, and still is going nowhere. I can't seem to reach payout anywhere except Swagbucks and once that comes in the money has to be used for gas and such. It's done is all that matters and hopefully nothing else goes wrong with it, at least not right away.

pocket wifi...I don't even know what that is...wifi that will work anywhere? I don't think I could afford to have that because I wouldn't earn back even what it would cost.

My van has needed a new windshield for a long time but with a $1000 deductible on the insurance we would have to pay for it all.

@reskyyandi if you mean great is a sarcastic manner then yes. I drove it out of town and back twice with no issues so maybe it's just sounds from the new part.

Yes, it's a very good thing indeed. Now I can use the van ONLY when I have tons of grandkids to haul and it's in town. Hope to get the engine fixed on it.

Sadly that's the only way I get him to do anything for a long time now....mentioning the things in front of other people. I wait until we have company of some kind to ask if he will take out the trash even.

At least your car is fixed and this is a good news. It can work and you don't have to spend money to buy a new one. Namely you have saved a lot

Vehicles get expensive and if you maintain them correctly (which we don't) you still have to have the money to do so.

@LeaPea2417 actually, at least here, the tags and taxes are cheaper the older it is.....insurance I'm not sure about. My 2 vehicles are both 1998...hubby's is right around that same year too.

@marsha32 Yes, having a car is like having a child (another member of the family). Buying the gas is like buying it food. When it has problems and has to go to the mechanic, it is like taking your child to the Doctors It is very expensive even when owning an older model and buying insurance and car tags is like buying it medical insurance.
