I remember long time ago we need to boil our water coming from our faucet for us to have a drinking water. But now there are many water refilling station business in our place. They deliver it to us once a week and we order 4 containers of water each week. It's a popular business now as it is important to have drinking water everyday. I trust that their water is really purified. Do you also order your drinking water?

Yes, I buy it in 18 litre plastic bottles. I pick it up in a convenience store in the basement of the building I live in. I have two containers and the minute I finish one I get another. I always want to have one full container in case of emergencies. Clean water is vital!

Thankfully, in the part of the USA where we have property, most have their own wells. In this area, those without private wells will be connected to city services and all the water they need is available at their sinks, commutes, showers, etc.

Are they already purified and ready to drink? We don't drink water connected to our local water district

@averygirl72 We have purification systems in the home. It is inexpensive to have the system here and we don't have to buy any other water.

@PatZAnthony I think that's a good idea to have a purification system at home so you are really sure it's clean

When Vince was in Nepal we saw shop-keepers filling water bottles from a tap in the street. He was told to ensure that the top was sealed when he bought a bottle of water. Here we catch the rainwater off the roof and it runs into a tank and supplies all our needs except the garden.

You just rely on rainwater is that enough? No other source of water for the house?

@shaggin Me too I can't believe rainwater can be use as drinking water. Maybe for taking a bath or washing clothes rainwater is enough

when the typhoon devastated us, almost all residents order distilled or purified water from water refilling stations, until we learned that a certain refilling station was getting water from a deep well in our vicinity and the procedure of purifying it is not done right.

Oh I wonder if the refilling station here are doing the right procedure. I know there are different stages to purify the water and they have the equipment. I trust the water we buy from this refilling station

@averygirl72 at times like during typhoons where water is a scarcity, i doubt if all the water sold undergoes the normal purifying process

@averygirl72 There are 5 gallon, 3 gallon and 1 gallon depending on where I'm planning to buy them. Sometimes there is a deal when purchasing a certain number of them. Sorry I called them bottled water, as sometimes I take the empty containers and get them filled.

Yes, we do now. We used to just run the electric pump the water of which is from our deep well then it will be purified through a purifying thing with a faucet.
However, the electric pump wasn't operational anymore, though we have our water supply from the local government water district , we now buy our drinking water to be sure that they are clean to drink.

It was some years before, we do that, but later we thought of buying our own water purifier/filter. It is more economical, and we consider also the cleanliness of water coming from our local water district.

Even if we still have the well or gripo to fetch the water but life have already change now, so yes, we order our potable water in the water refilling station or buy bottle water when we are in in travel. Gone are the days when water is just so free of e-coli bacteria. So now we have lots of kinds of water like purified water, miniralized and eveen the nano water which they say a pi (if I'm not mistaken.
