There are times when a movie teaches us a lot about many things, in this case painting.
I have come to lear a lot about Johannes Vermeer, the dutch painter. The movie is well done and interesting. I love it.
Have you seen it? Colin Firth acts as painter Vermeer. As usual, he is such a good actor that we see the painter and not the actor playing a role.
I´m going back to continue watching it. Good bye for now

Watched the film a few times.
Have seen the painting in reality twice in Holland.
My favourite painting by far for reasons I don't even know
The resemblance between the actual model (I don't know her name and can't find if anyone does) and Scarlett Johansson is amazing and the casting made the film in my opinion.

@marguicha the real painting is better.
Some colours don't show up properly in pictures and you can only see it on the real thing.
If I won the euro millions I quite often think I may be able to own it...but I think it'd go for significantly over 100 million pounds if it was ever for sale
