It is so cold out there....brrrrrrr

The temperature is now -28C (-19F) with the windchill factor. That is ridiculously cold for this time of year. As most of you already know today is my birthday. We were going to go out to my favorite restaurant and then an evening of dancing but I decided I would rather stay home where it's warm. We will do it another time.
This evening we are just going to stay home where it is warm. Have a few cocktails and watch a movie and then later a hockey game. My fiance is cooking me a nice dinner instead which I prefer over restaurant food any day.
Tomorrow I am going over to my son's place. They are cooking me a birthday dinner so that will be good too. Looking forward to spending time with them and my sweet little grandson.
So all in all I am having a wonderful birthday.

It sounds like you are in store for a great day today.
I think that we are going to go out for dinner, I feel like steak, and its awfully cold here so grilling isn't an option, so I'll have to convince my husband that we should go out to eat.

It would have been nice to go out but it sounds like staying at home with your fiance will be nice too. And going to your son's to celebrate your birthday with them is so sweet! It was so windy here today but I do not know what the windchill was it felt colder then 19°F that the app I looked at said.

I know or rather I've heard that Canada is beautiful and it's a nice place to live. But when I think of Canada I think of brutal winter cold and I just can't take cold weather. So I settle for having friends in Canada or from Canada.
