Just learned that the well known host of Turner Classic Movies has left this world. He will be missed as he was such an interesting person to listen to about old movies and famous actors from the past. Did you watch him too?
Robert Osborne, the film aficionado who shared his knowledge and passion for movies with millions of viewers as the longtime host of Turner Classic Movies, has died. He was 84.

Sad indeed. I just love all the old movies and Turner has had some really good ones.

We get TCM over here, but not with Robert Osborne. The announcers are all local

@marlina Sounds just right to me! I have seen some documentaries first transmitted by the BBC, so the commentator is a Brit and I've seen them again on PBS and the commentator is now an American. That is wierd!

I am not surprised as he had been in ill health for several years but sad none the less. TCM will never be the same without him.
