Rent a country?

Liechtenstein

This is very interesting. If you are very rich, perhaps renting a luxurious hotel is not enough for you. How about renting a country? You can rent the country of Liechtenstein for $70,000 a night (for a minimum of two nights). Doesn't it sound attractive for you? I wonder is this country really needs money so badly?

I expected it to be a country I'd never heard of. It's an intriguing offer.

That would be pretty cool. You could be the king or queen for two nights.

@youless I think the price is very reasonable really. I don't suppose they'd let you change all the rules though. :)

Interesting. Never heard anything like this before. And wonder if you were to rent it for that much, how long would this help them for?

I do not see how can you rent The Principality of Liechtenstein, almost 38,000 people live there and they have the right to throw you out of their home. Surely this is one of those fake news that spread on the social media.

@youless In fact, it is well specified that it's not "The Liechtenstein", but a very specific small village of the Liechtenstein. It is as you would say that China is for rent, or a small Chinese village is for rent.

If you spend such huge money what will you do with in two days. If you want to spend two nights hotel is enough. I don't believe that a single person can buy a big country.
