I came upon this name as I was looking for a quote to fit a post that I had written to my daughter about frogs. Yes you might just ask "but Lany you HATE frogs!" and yes I DO, I have serious ranidaphobia!! however it is not for my daughter to follow in my footsteps of having the fear of frogs and that is what I wanted to illustrate in my post. Since she now has a little garden that is absolutely beautiful - which I knew she would do - she met with a few ground frogs that discovered her good nature. As none of them need any kissing, for she has found her Prince Charming, they have decided to play around in her garden. Apparently when she met the first one, she did a backward somersault (or that of something similar a ballerina of 32 can do) to the surprise of her partner, who found it absolutely hilarious. A girl who shows NO FEAR of ANYTHING showing a little nervousness around a little frog? She asked me if the fear of frogs is based on the gene's she inherited? REALLY Inge?? Even though the fear might have been adopted from your mom, you need to make your own mind up if you LOVE or HATE frogs!! No its not hereditary! normally fears come from childhood experiences and get worse over the years. Back to the name Thaddeus, which means "courageous heart." “Curb your fretting, tadpole, or the frog of your future will fail to croak.' -Thaddeus” ~ Paul Collins and that is my morning story! Crazy thinking happening over here today!

I'm almost afraid to mention the word here - but good afternoon Lany - hope you're doing well.

Her dislike of frogs could have developed from yours. As a child she would have witnessed your fear of them and mentally associated them with something unpleasant. Of course in such a case her concerns would soon be overcome.

As we have a pond there are frogs in the garden, I do not fear frogs, the small green striped frogs are cute and I let them roam the gardens. I hate the big toads.

I love frogs! I do seem to spend quite a bit of time rescuing them from the clutches of my evil cats though!! I went through a spell one summer where I was a regular nocturnal visitor to a local pond to release them as far away from my cats as possible. I was always amazed at how many cars were parked there in the darkness. I discovered later that it was a popular dogging spot!!! That's my story M'Lud and I'm sticking to it!!

People have strange phobias. Luckily I like frogs and toads and I'm part of our local 'toad patrol'!
