Have you ever regretted yourself of any order that you made at the restaurant?

It happened a few days ago with a friend of mine. He read the menu and found that the combination of food would result in an interesting dish.
Obviously he liked all the ingredients, but when the dish arrived and he tried... Well, he regretted bitterly (it was such a quick reaction that it got to be funny
).
It wasn't a good night for him.

Our son had a similar experience about 2 wks ago we had gotten a variety of chinese food it was like a surf and turf mix of things and he loves ranch well without trying it he put some on the food and later was regretting his decision. The look on his face was funny.

Yes, many times. Whenever I want to try something new, I regret.
By the way I don't like eating out.

Yes a long time ago when we went to a new restaurant and the dish arrived tried it and thought it was the worst thing I have ever tried. My husband tried it and he didn't like it. That was one of the few times that my husband actually said its horrible. The dish was suppose to be hot and it was cold, so we asked to have a new plate of food. We informed the waiter its cold and we want a different dish. I ended up getting new food for free, but we never went back to the place.

That is sad... I have learned from experience to never try something that I have never had. It's a big joke in my family and they can pretty much order for me, right down to how I like each item prepared! haha

Yes, and it can ruin the evening if we let it. There will hopefully be another meal the following day that will make up for the mistake the last day.

I am useless in a restaurant and usually have a peak at what is on offer so I don't embarrass people who are already in the restaurant.

It seems such a waste to order a meal which is usually going to cost you plenty then discover it's not very nice at all. Such a shame.

Aww, that is terrible.
I have only had this happen once but it was the thing I wanted but it just tasted awful.
