A headache after cooking?

We are transitioning to summer here, so it's getting even hotter during the day. Although I'm not fond of cooking, I wasn't rushing or tense when I cooked lunch. It was only one dish, and the ground (minced) pork was precooked, so it didn't take long.
But when I sat down here at the PC to unwind, I started noticing my head was aching. I thought it was the heat, so I wet my face and head a bit. The internet was also acting up, so I also laid down as well. After a while, I had lunch, but the headache is worse.
I dread having headaches because I tend to clench my jaws which, of course, makes it even worse. I think it's my TMJ/TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) but can't figure out what caused it. I'm more annoyed that I have to delay things I wanted to do today.
Do you ever have unexpected headaches after ordinary, daily tasks, even when everything's fine or normal?
Can you eat immediately after cooking or baking, or do you rest first?

it happened again recently after cooking, but much later. but maybe the second time was due to the heat and humidity because it was superhot that day.

Yup i get them quite often and mostly when i am at work. Sometimes mine cause blurred vision but only last a few mins. I hope your headache went away and you were able to get other things done. It's still winter here so we are still getting cold weather and the norester storm stella has arrived.

I hate headaches. I had a childhood of pounding headaches, but I suspect a lot of that was due to MSG. I get headaches if there is an extreme change in temperatures, not getting enough sleep, too much stress, and headaches that do come unexpectedly for whatever reason.

Sometimes, I get a headache just when it is nearly dismissal. Maybe I had too much of the laptop. And my ever useful White Flower will be on the rescue. I massage my temples with it and sniff it also from the bottle. After a while, it will be gone.
Oh, I found something useful from the internet; that is massage your finger next to the smallest one for 60 seconds. I tried it yesterday and as I was doing that, I can feel that my head is seemingly getting light and in a while my headache was gone.

I experience that, too. There are times when I have no choice but to keep going about my chores because no one else will do them for me. But when there's a chance to stop and rest, I rest. When the pain becomes unbearable, I take a painkiller and get busy with something like drawing or stitching.

Do you get these attacks often. You must get to the root cause and treat it accordingly. I have known someone with TMJ but their complaint was of pain in the mouth but not so much with headaches.

Eating/cooking have no effects like headaches for me thank goodness. Maybe your home was just too hot - do you have a/c?
