Light eating today

Tomorrow hubby will have both a CAT Scan and an MRI. They want him to not have anything in his digestive tract for the imaging.
So much for all of my fancy cooking plans.
Suggested he eat soup and sandwiches on the prep sheet. He has also eaten fruit and yogurt.
I do not think I need to share much more than that. We are at home, and getting a few things done. Every day can be a good day.

Yes, this is the mapping to decide exactly where to radiate. It will help them be more precise. I will post about the treatment plan and such when we know anything.

After its all over he can go back to eating normally.
Its a bit of a bind to have to eat like that.
My two had theirs done and I had to be the one to insist over and over that they only ate a said amount.
I was eating my Fingers till I knew the results.
Hope it all goes well.

We often eat spicier foods and hubby will also overeat. He is taking it easy today. We know he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. These scans are to help them pin point the exact places to radiate, so they need a very clear view.

Hmmm. I thought you had been on one of my discussions a few weeks ago. He has prostate cancer. They told us this in November, but we have been going in circles about getting in for radiation. Tomorrow he will have his first radiation treatment. He has had two doctors change in that same time frame.

I have read many of your posts talking about exotic dishes that you have made ever so many times. It's ok going light once in a way

This is specialized scans of his prostate. They need to be able to see everything in the region, so he has to do a bit of a clean out, not as bad as a colonoscopy, but still they are specific about drinking lots and eating little and taking beano
. I guess one machine is at the hospital and one is at the cancer clinic, but he can eat what he likes within reason tomorrow night.

@AbbyGreenhill More than three years ago he had a biopsy that found nothing, but it was not ultra sound. This year he had one with ultrasound that did in fact find some cancer cells. I think things will turn out fine, though.

I guess it is good that he was allowed to eat something rather than nothing at all.

Because of some confusion with the instructions he called this morning. He even got to eat a light lunch.
