Movie night might be cancelled.

Sunday nights are usually movie nights for us. Tonight we are planning to watch a new movie called "Kong: Skull Island". It is a remake of the old famous movie with King Kong, the giant gorilla who was captured and taken in New York city. I remember watching this film when I was a teenager and I was crying so much at the end of the movie. My boyfriend just informed me that he has an urgent meeting at work and he has to go to the office. This meeting was not planned in advance so he doesn't know for how long he will stay there. I should be getting ready for the cinema now but it is frustrating because I am not sure if we will actually make it on time. I was in the mood for some Nachos and a good adventure story tonight! How do you spend your Sunday nights? Do you stay at home and prepare for the upcoming week or you are trying to take advantage all the free time you can have, before the beginning of a new demanding week?

We don't have a particular plan in place. Many we know have one night each week for movie night at home. Others go out once each week to a theater.

We have a movie night at home or at the theaters, unfortunately there aren't so many good new movies to go to the theaters every week. Watching the movies at home is very relaxing and I prefer Friday nights for this when I am already exhausted from the working week.

The ending was emotional, I hope this time it will be a happy ending! Thank you, my boyfriend will have to make up for the cancelled plans. Watching movies at home is very relaxing too. Do you make popcorn at home or you prefer nachos like me?

I have read yesterday about this movie, not my kind of movie, I have already watched 3 different King Kong remakes.

I have watched the 2005 remake. I haven't had the chance to watch the original film. I think that this one will have impressive visual effects and it will be a good movie for 3D. If you don't like adventures then it won't be very enjoyable. I watched "Manchester by the sea" last week, I imagine you might like that one more.

@LadyDuck I guess I have a lot more to learn about you, but I thought it would be your style! I had watched all kinds of thrillers and horror films when I was a student. Now I have become more sensitive and avoid them!

@besweet I have seen the very first one made in 1933, then a remake made in 1976 and another made in 2005. I watched them because they were broadcast by our local TV. My favorite moves are thrillers, mysteries, paranormal and also horror, "Manchester by the sea" is not my kind of movie.

When you eventually get to see Kong, do be sure to stay for the post-credit scene. We didn't, which was silly as we usually do hang around just in case. Logan doesn't have a post-credit scene, interestingly.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will stay and watch it. Have you watched both films? Which one did you like more?

@Poppylicious I am sentimental with some movies so thanks for the warning! I thought it would be better because Logan it is rated higher on imdb. I will watch Kong first then and maybe watch Logan at home.

@besweet I preferred Kong, but Logan was good too. Logan is actually a little bit sad, so you may require a tissue or two up your sleeve, if you're partial to tears!

@TheInvisibleMan Great! I hope you can watch it soon. I hope the same for me because I think I won't make it tonight. It is also available in 3D, I think it will be a good 3D movie.

We stayed at home and we watched the documentary called the Super Battery. We seldom go out at Sunday night because next day we have to wake up early to go to school and work.

@besweet It is true that priorities when you have kids. I'm sorry that you weren't able to go to the movies. It does sound as though you were still able to do something.

When you have chidren the priorities change, and you must enjoy more the nights that you spend at home with them. I wantef to do something fun outside this weekend since it was raining all Saturday. We didn't make it eventually so we stayed home and cooked a nice dinner.

I also do a little mylotting on Sundays an inevitably check my emails and many complete some tasks. Today I had to work for a couple of hours so I needed the distraction. Unfortunately the movie is cancelled, it's a long meeting and we have to reschedule.

@JESSY3236 I think that it is great that you have picked Mondays. People hate Mondays (as the first day of the week) but you have related them with something nice and enjoyable!

@besweet I started watching movies on Mondays because I had HBO (Cable network) free for three months and I had taped a lot of movies. I had a class back then on Mondays (I was going to a community college) so I quickly watch them before my class. After HBO ran out, I decided to keep the Monday movie day.
