I've read there are lots of myLotters who have trouble sleeping, including me. How about if we create a world-wide Insomniacs Anonymous and share our advice, horror stories and helpful hints?
Of course, we all sleep (or try to!) on different time schedules on different continents. At least when we're wide awake, we can myLot with other wide awakers.
Shall we? What do you think?

The first book selection could be Insomnia by Stephen King.

Maybe I'll have to read that. On nights when I can't sleep.

@1creekgirl _Stephen King? Then you'll really not be able to sleep.

I was up until the wee hours of the morning last night (this morning) out of choice. I think it was almost 5am when I went to bed (4 if you consider the time change time - spring forward). One of my favourite YouTubers does live streams on a gaming site and as much as I don't care for gaming, he is very entertaining and did a 24 hour stream from yesterday afternoon until today. But did I sleep in? No. I am so tired. Will I fall asleep right away tonight? Probably not. Because I am a member of Insomniacs Anonymous.

@1creekgirl I have been known to doze off around the 7-8pm period of time for half an hour or so. That is only if I take myself off the computer and just let myself lie down and "watch" television. But if I took a nap that takes even more time out of my very short day.

@patgalca I love a short nap some days, but if I can keep from napping I seem to sleep better at night. Of course, sometimes nothing helps.

Oh man, sometimes it's just worth it. Do you ever take a nap or does that make it worse?

@1creekgirl My insomniac friend walked for ten minutes barefoot in the garden when the grass was wet and has had no problem sleeping since.

@1creekgirl Seriously. Another got rid of migraines lying face down on a wettish lawn.

Of course. But if you never have trouble sleeping, you'll have to be an honorary member.

Some of us do keep up with others who also do not sleep at night. Being a night owl, embracing insomnia is my first choice. However, it is really not insomnia if I am choosing to be up, right?

@1creekgirl The chicken and egg question I can answer. Determining why so many are insomniacs (or choosing to be up) is another study.

@1creekgirl Yes, I have considered many things and possible causes, but the only thing I can imagine is that I only need very few hours of sleep.

That's interesting. I'm sure you've considered everything that might cause it.

Have you slept better because of recovering or because of a different bed?

I sometimes have trouble sleeping so I think this would be a good idea.

For me, it's not that I can't sleep, but my problematic internet service make me missing for a day or two. I have been pushing myself so hard lately that I can sleep anyway now. But part of my want to be a member of this group...if you decide to form it. Count me in!
