The power of organisation

For most of the winter I seem to have been repeatedly wearing, washing and wearing again the same half-dozen or so pairs of knickers – and half of those I inherited from my mother! I thought I would have to go out and buy myself some new underwear, but first I decided to organise my jumbled underwear drawer.
I thought about buying some fancy drawer organisers, but not having money to burn on unnecessary stuff I decided to look into making some instead. I set to work with a collection of shoe boxes and other smallish boxes cut down to size, some glue and a bag of used wrapping paper (we always save and re-use all our paper) and soon had a set of pretty boxes to arrange in the drawer.
Then I pulled everything out and sorted it into the different types of items, folded them neatly and fitted them into the different sections. Lo and behold, I could find everything – and I rediscovered all the pairs of knickers that had been pushed to the back of the drawer and forgotten about, some I’d never even worn.
And do you know what? I actually have 43 pairs!! No need to buy any more after all. Result!

I love finding knickers that I forgot I even owned! I must go through my knicker drawer and see what goodies I can unearth.
