I am hunting for ways to save on food and cartwheel is a big help. I loaded some products and took my bags. The item I'm suggesting to load is Campbell's Well Yes I Can if you have $1.00 on 1 coupons. Price 2.29 used 1.00 coupon then my cartwheel final price .60. You should have seen the checker looking at the register. You can buy up to 4 with cartwheel. Also you get .10 off bringing your own bag and it all helps you lower the cost. My husband will eat the soup cans when I'm out of town, as he doesn't like to wash a lot of dishes.

That's a great strategy to save. I once saw a woman on TV who's so much into couponing that she was able to save hundreds of dollars from shopping. She would be able to fill up 10 carts or food and items from the local grocery because of coupons. She even keep it in an album.

That is great and I have a binder. I'm always hunting for deals on canned food, as if husband won't eat, then it goes to Food Share. The soup my husband picked the cans, so know he will eat them.

@Fishmomma nice. Couponing is actually a practical way to save money. I wish we have that here. Well, we do but most of the foods with couppns are those that are not often needed.

@slayer08 I know that there are many coupons that are for products I don't use at all. This year my best coupons are ones I load to my card like discounts on meat and fruit/vegetables. Target has them just not every week for products I use, so I load coupons every week that I might use in the future. The list for each store is printed out, so know when each coupon expires and can delete any that are no longer able to be used because of it being expired or used 4 times. Some of the coupons are good only 1 time and others are good twice.

Food is not a high expense in my household. We have a lot of ways to lower the expense sure wish it worked on housing and the water cost. Stores offer us so many deals because we have a lot of stores. Now the K-mart Store has started offering produce and I was surprised it was lower than Target. Bananas are one item that is high .29 for 1 banana. The bad part I can't afford to grow them, as use to much water.

@Fishmomma Water is cheap in Switzerland, because we have plenty of water, but food is expensive because we import almost everything, as we have very few areas that can be cultivated.

No I am close, so should make it this year. Target is a long drive, but maybe can start planning more trips and do other things in that direction. The bus does go over there, as we have a free shuttle between some of the stores. A free blanket would be worth making a few more trips.

@Fishmomma I hope you reach the perk soon! It adds up and its a nice incentive. :) Target is within driving distances for me at all angles.
