That Special Place / myLot

We all have that special place. A place we go to think, have a few moments to ourselves. For me it is a place on the greenbelt that is surrounded by brush and is off the beaten track. I ride there on my mountain bike and it is my first rest stop. It is cool on a hot summer day. Shady and cool. Where is your special spot? (Picture is from Free wallpaper site

My mind returns to the farm that I spent my earliest years in. Woods; firs and ferns. I can't get enough of them. Yours sounds lovely and soul deep.

I like to go to a park that has ducks and geese there and I love giving them some bread.

I used to work the night shift. I couldn't sleep usually when I got off so I would go to three places around town before coming home to bed. I'd go to the train depot which was up on the hill and I could look out over the city. Then I'd come down the hill to the park and to the rose garden. THen I would go over to the other park and feed the ducks. THen home.

Oh gosh, I have a lot of favorite spots! But one place I do love is along a hike trail at a park in the hills. Since we had that lovely rain this winter, the creeks actually became creeks again (had been dried up for years). So along with trees and rocks and green all around, it looks like a place where fairies would come . . . quite magical!!

Wow that is lovely my friend. I did not know you were riding your bike. It is so good for you friend. Wish I were there to go with. If I feel like it like getting away, I walk to the bridge on the trail. It is not a beautiful place, but it clears my head somewhat. I am grateful to be able to walk at all.
