My Daughter's Great Find

My daughter loves to shop at the dollar store. She is always bringing something cute home for me. It may be a treat like the spearmint jelly candies she found or the little shamrock necklace that lights up. Always something. Well, this last time she found a reacher/grabber thing for me. I sleep on a mattress on the floor and getting up is difficult with my arthritic hip and recently dislocated shoulder. So, she got me this thing (that is about a foot long and has a grabber on the end) so I can grab things off my night stand or chair where my clothes are and the phone. The phone is in a tray, it's a landline Vtech phone. But the way my room is set up the cable modem(where the phone has to be connected) is half way across the room. The line of the phone doesn't reach very far. So this reacher/grabber works great. I can grab the phone and bring over to me where before I had to turn clear around and reach as far as I could to get the phone. Even putting the phone at six rings I can't get it to me in time to answer when my public calls to speak to me. Haha So this new gizmo is just great!
