Are you choosy when it comes to making friends?

I am an introvert person and I really dislike being with a large group of people. I feel intimidated. It is like I don't belong with them. So, I am not really a sociable type. When it comes to friends, I choose those people who are much older than me. Actually, most of my close friends are already like my parents or grandparents already. I enjoy their company because I learn a lot from them.
What about you? Do you love making friends to those of your age, younger than you, or older? Are you also choosy when it comes to making friends?

I do get along with anybody .. but mostly with those older and younger than me ... so you and I will get along ..

@epiffanie Great to hear that! I always ask for pieces of advise to my close friends. They are older than me.

@annierose ~I am an introvert and am also uncomfortable in crowds most of the time. I am very picky when it comes to friends. I don't meet a lot of people these days and have become a loner. I would find in difficult to find friends as great as the ones that I had during my high school years, especially one who was a more of a loving brother than my actual brothers.

@allen0187 It is difficult for me to communicate easily. Actually, that is the one I am working on whenever I travel abroad.

I am friendly with everyone but I don't have lots of friends cuz no one comes to see me. I can't get out and drive anywhere cuz I'm on hospice and couldn't get out to get my licence removed. I can't drive anyway now.

It generally takes me a while before I decide to move past the acquaintance mark... I like to have one close friend and lots of general friends. :)

Yes, I am very picky. I have friends of different ages. some around my age.. I have met most of the m after high school because I did not like school and only had a few "friends" though none that were very close in high school. Afterwords I have made most of my friends at my places of employment and these friendships are going on about 30 years or so.. so being picky has paid off. I do also like to hang out with older people. you can learn so much.

I am selective while making friends not just in the real world but even here. If I find anyone being rude I just walk away

I thought I am the only one but now I found you.I am an introvert and I also react the same way in groups like you.I am choosy in making friends for sure.I have got only one friends with whom I can share my personal thoughts sometimes. I usually don't like making friends.
I feel less and good is better than more and messy.

Its rare we find people with same interest or kind but we have to accept it,as me like you but it is difficult to find your other part in some one else,so rather making friends i do work

Maybe in Facebook I can choose my friends. But in real life it's who I am always with and giving importance to each other.

I am choosy when it comes to friends. I like to keep it real and say what I think and too many people aren't like that. They like to lie to you. Honestly, my husband is my best friend and most of my other friends are online, on sites like this!
