Happy St. Patrick's Day, everybody. Both Mildred the Cat and I wish you a great day, whether you're Irish or not. I'm not Irish and don't go all out in celebration, but I do appreciate the beauty of the Irish ballad, especially when song by a magnificent voice. Below are a few of my favorite voices singing the beautifully sad "Oh Danny Boy." Finbar Wright (The Three Irish Tenors) See link below. Anthony Kearns (The Three Irish Tenors) Brings tears to my eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_mjEX3EyKQ Mario Lanza (not exactly Irish but lovely) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTY_kYAsJYU Elvis Presley - the dreamy, cheek-to-cheek version! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye8aWrLHAe8 Enjoy! Finbar Wright is my favorite Irish singer, I feel in love with him on my first trip to Ireland over 20 years ago. This is the song that did it for me I actually met him in a meet and greet after this, it was amazing.

@LindaCPearson It was the Irish Tenors that I met, I paid about $300 to CPTV and got to talk to them and shake hands etc, it was at the Oakdale in Wallingford. They were all lovely in person.

@BelleStarr Wow! they really are great. The only time I got backstage was years ago at UCONN Jorgensen. Pavarotti performed a concert ($5.00 a ticket!!) and had an autograph line backstage after the concert.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing that. My daughter and I saw the Three Irish Tenors at the Bushnell a few years. She got us tickets for one of my Christmas presents. They are fabulous. I believe they're still touring together. Finbar has such a deep, rich beauty to his voice.

After the sentimental Danny Boy, it's time for Riverdance.

I don't think I have anything green. I have listened to a lot of Danny Boy renditions this morning but that's about it.
