Medications or All Natural Herbal Drugs?

I know lately with all the health care issues especially when it comes to Health care and what is best for someone there is a lot of mixed feelings and reviews, Depending on what your ailments are really depends on how a Doctor will be tolerant with everything as well.
But when you are a patient like me who is becoming allergic to a lot of the different drugs, including antibiotics out there, what is a person to do? Many doctors have called me complicated but yet have no real experience dealing with or treating some of the issues I have. Many times I find having to ask questions and seek out my own care especially the short time I tried having Medicare for just an option recently for Health care.
Why are Doctors so uncaring sometimes to where you have to search for what is really Best for you. Or if you found something natural that works with one of your conditions they try and challenge you like you have no idea what you're doing.
So how do you handle this, or do you just continue to find more things that are natural and only deal with issues beyond your control with your doctor?

It is a problem. The main issue is finding the right ones who work with the Medical problems you have without having to go from doctor to doctor to doctor searching for answers.

Yes, and then when you find a Doctor or two who wants to challenge you it makes you wonder. Makes me glad when I find the ones who are willing to accept me wanting to also try other things.

So true and as the Medical here in the US tends to get even worse, a lot of Doctors are way less caring. And a lot of them are maybe late 20s that are sometimes the worst.

I'm not good with docs. My husband is trying to keep diabetes issues as small as possible. Both of us are a bit chubby. Last June we stopped eating refined sugar and started eating mostly vegan- we eat eggs cause we have 5 hens. We have lost a nice amount of weight and our fresh foods feed us natural nutrition and health- I don't have as much water retention in my legs now.

That is always good. I know some of my water retention, etc is caused by some of the meds I have had to take from time to time as well. But anytime you can learn about foods that are better for you, and work with them, that is always good. Is it helping your husband with his Diabetes?

I haven't run into that yet, I have had a lot of things I'm allergic too in the past but the older I get then less I have. I had blood checked for allergies and all the things I thought I was allergic to turned to not be allergic too. The test showed I was only allergic to grass, like the lawn, I don't know if its possible to find out if you are allergic before you take meds or not. I hope you can and know what you should take and shouldn't.

My Diabetic doctor wants me to do this with Insulin. She is thinking that I might not be allergic to it like I am thinking. I am wondering though if anyone has a Game plan for if I also try it again and start really cramping up as well as having Chest pains if they have something in place for a quick help?

@KrauseHome I'd test it by taking it at her office and if you have a reaction she will be right there..

Now, that would never work for me with a lot of my ailments, so instead I try to find something all natural, but yours is a Good way as well.

@ShifaLk Too bad Medications become the only hope for so many people and so expensive, especially for those of us here in the US. Wish there was more education and training.

Would be nice if their were things out there for Diabetes that actually would help. I have only been on Diabetic meds since middle of Jan and my numbers are still high. I cannot take Insulin due to major Potassium issues to where it goes way too low, so I am always trying to find other things that seem to work better for me.

I agree, the medical profession has some major shortcomings. I think there is a lot to be said for natural remedies, but some things seem to require stronger medicines.

Well, my main issue right now, is I am diabetic. For some reason I keep on loosing a lot of weight even. And the more I loose the higher my Blood Sugars seem to climb. So since I cannot take Insulin wonder how long til they figure out something if anything can help.
