Here is another drink I don't want to try. My brother bought some and now my father always drink it. I wonder if it taste like ginger. It's yellow powder and they add hot water to it. A weird drink to me. Do you always drink turmeric powder?

Now and then I buy the root itself and add a piece which I cut up up into small pieces in my food or salad. It is supposed to be very healrthy for us.

Turmeric grows in our garden. We process it and produce turmeric powder. It has several health benefits.

i know turmeric (luyang dilaw) is supposed to be healthy, but i haven't drank it yet. i think it would be good to add to lugaw or arroz caldo, but it's so hard to peel.

@averygirl72 they're smaller than ginger (luya), the skin is darker and seems to have stripes. when you slice it, it's orange inside. you can ask around the next time you go to the wet market.

No turmeric does not taste at all like ginger. Turmeric has many healthy benefits and this is surely the reason why your father drinks it.

Maybe they look the same as ginger but they differ in color and taste. I think my father likes the taste. We don't actually know that it is healthy
