Hello friends, there is bad news for me.
My brother in law owns a garment factory having employees of approximately 500 people. Yesterday there occurred an accident as fire broke out there.
Actually "Birju" is an employee over there who lives in the factory as a watchman.
He was cooking food on a gas stove in the gaurd room where an inflammble solvent was kept which fell down on the floor which caught fire.
This person was trapped in the fire.
People came out to help him when heard him shouting and fire in the room.
They got hold of fire by extinguishers and water but "Birju" was burnt severely
till they hold of fire and was taken to the hospital where doctors declared that he's 60% burnt but the good thing is his internal organs have not suffered much only skin got burnt.
Still they said they need to keep him under observation for 48 hours then can be said what's going to happen.
My brother in law and his wife were upset and were in the hospital till late night with him.
They were upset and were just praying that he gets well soon . We also are praying he soon recovers as he has 2 years old daughter and wife who are not that much literate and won't be able to survive with out "Birju".
We are upset to know this news and wish his speedy recovery.
What do you say about the chances of survival if a person gets burnt 60%?

This must be quite a strain on your family. Hope this guy would recover soon. Is there no insurance?

Oh wow. I'm so sorry. I will certainly pray for him and his families. I think someone burned over 60% of his body has a good chance of pulling through. However, the worst lies ahead in the subsequent surgeries he will have to have for skin graphs. I hope people will unify to help him financially until he is better.

I looked it up and 60% burns are very bad but can be survivable.
Apparently it often comes down to the health of the person, what they inhaled and if they get infections.
