Hooray! The sun is finally out and potholes too

I woke up to the sun today, finally, after a week or more of gloom. Since spring sprung, there were no signs of it. The snow is still piled in many places and melting slowly. The streets are clear but mucky and the boulevards are piled with melting snow of a dirty brown. I want it all gone and was getting impatient. Oh I forget to mention the potholes a gift of spring. Hoping the city will get to filling them soon. Do you get potholes in your area in spring?

@Freelanzer I was amazed the first time I read about the cold weather freezing roads and then they break up. It was news to me. Another thing I've learnt here.

Oh, yes. We sure do. THe highway department are good about fixing them pretty quickly too.

Here they take their time to fix them and if you don't bother them they forget about the potholes

We have so many potholes. I doubt the city will fill them all. They will do some of them. You have to keep your eyes on the road the whole time because so roof them are awful. They could do a lot of damage to your car if you hit one,

Same here, they are usually not in a hurry to fix them and you pretty much have to tell them about them before they, maybe fix them.
