My eldest daughter, Tania, was invited by her BF Alejandro, to Iquique, a small city in the north of Chile. The city used to be a wonderful city in the time of the salitre mines. There was money there and many artists of the time went there and did not come down to Santiago. Now, after the discovery of the artificial salitre (saltpeter?), everything died but there are still things to see. And nearby there are some Springs and mud baths and sulphur baths and a lot of places I wouldn´t go but love to hear about. She told me that her silver earrings had had problems. I don´t know why she didn´t take them off as they were half naked. They are returning today to work and happy and relaxed. Tania has messages me and sent me pictures every day. I´m very happy!
