Coffee and Friends (great way to start my day)

Good morning/afternoon or evening to all my friends here in the myLot world 
You can probably predict what I'm going to say next....I'm sitting here "with my coffee" ahhhh it's so good!! It's always nice to start out my day with my coffee and friends. What I like most about it is, you guys don't talk to me while I'm having my coffee 
I get to savor my coffee and ease into the day without having to settle anything for anyone else.
It's a dismal looking day out there today. Sky is gray and overcast...blah! It rained during the night cause everything is wet but the showers have stopped for now. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day so that will be my chance to enjoy the sunshine and run my errands. I have a long list for grocery shopping this week as we only got essentials last week and never got around to a full shopping.
I went to bed late last night as I was so involved in the book I'm reading I didn't want to put it down. It's called Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner. I'm more than half way through so it was just too much to finish but I'm engrossed in the story. I'll have to do a review when I'm done but so far I'd give it more than 5 stars.

Our skies are overcast too although the clouds seem higher than they can be sometimes because the sky is pretty bright even though no blue or sun is actually seen through the clouds.
I enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate which my husband bought for me last night. Well, he didn't just buy one cup's worth, but a whole small box so I can have ten cups. Now, what I should do is have some coffee for I'm getting a tad tired. I will probably try to catch a very small nap so I can finish working on chili for supper. All I've done this far is defrosted the burger and get out an onion.
I finished, yesterday The Shack. I didn't really know what it was about, but even though I don't believe a portion of it, the ideas and attributes given to God seem pretty right on for the most part. Have you ever read it? I want to read it again and again and I'm hoping my husband will too.

@Marilynda1225 I liked the book, but I wonder how they will make it into a movie and still keep vaguely the same storyline. It should be interesting.

I read The Shack quite awhile ago and liked it. I'm interested in seeing the movie are you? Glad you're recovering nicely from your surgery

@Juliaacv My guess is that the majority of the movie would be Mack's encounter with God, Jesus and the holy spirit. The rest could happen as he reflects or something. I just heard about the movie from some friends at work and one of them brought the book for me to read.
I'll probably end up buying the book as I think it has some good keys to being about to love those that upset us unconditionally.

I'm not actually addicted to coffee but I do need it to start my day or my brain doesn't function. Even though you don't enjoy coffee it's nice to spend time here with you (my friend)

I was also reading in bed last night and time got away from me. I didn't mind since I have no plans for today and I've been so busy lately that I really wanted to catch up on sleep. It felt so good! Now that I've done a few things around my apartment, I can get back to the book!

@Marilynda1225 There is a series of books (and movies and even a TV series), The Mortal Instruments. It involves vampires and werewolves and people with all sorts of magical powers set in present day. I love the characters and the stories keep me riveted. So right now I'm re-reading book three, City of Glass, and then plan to move forward from there. It's one series I just cannot get enough of!

Good morning. Glad to hear you are up and enjoying your morning coffee and ready to tackle another day. Things are good here aside from the 5 inches of snow we got last night but lets not talk about that.

It is gray and dreary here - we had storms last night. I had my coffee at 6 am. Not doing much at all today - but will be running a lot tomorrow.

I'm glad that your morning got off to such a good start.
I can't wait to get settled into our new place so that I can pick up a good book and get engrossed like you have.
I drove to our son's place today to bring a car load of things that did not fit into the moving pod, breakables and such.
