Have you tried oil cleansing method?

I just found out the oil cleansing method which I am quite interested in it. It is a natural way to clean our face, or perhaps our body too. I just started to clean my face with only jojoba oil (as I do not have the recommended castor oil at home now), and I will see how it goes. I am currently knitting a wash cloth for this. Have you tried this? Do you like it? You can search about this online or go to this website to find out more:

I just know some people like to use the oil to clean their makeup. But I haven't tried to use it to clean my face as the facial cleaner yet. I will find it weird and I am afraid it will make my face all in oil. I don't like the oily feeling

Yes, I read that it helps to remove the makeup and cleanse our face as well, so it's killing two birds with one stone, and it's much cheaper as well. I found it weird at the beginning too. My face is always oily, but after I have applied this oil cleansing method, I find that my face is not that oily anymore even though I just use water to clean my face sometimes.

@kaka135 I also find my face is oily and it is amazing to hear that using the oil cleaning method will make it less oily

Using Witch Hazel as an astringent is good. I don't care for oily.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll need to search for it, as I do not know where I can get the witch hazel. My face is always oily, so this method sounds good for me.

I like it very much. As my face is always oily and I always have pimples, I am quite tired to try out any facial products. I have tried this method for three times only in these two weeks, other than that, I only wash my face with water without any cleanser, I find my face is not as oily as previously and no pimples coming out too. So I guess I will continue to use this method, and perhaps add aloe vera to my face cleansing method soon.

@kaka135 I will have to see if that'll work for me. I use aloe here and there =)

do you clean your face before putting on jojoba oil? or do you wash your face afterwards? how long should the oil be on your face?

I just use water to clean my face, then I apply the jojoba oil and massage my face. After perhaps a minute or two (when I am done with massaging), then I cover my face with hot washcloth/towel, just to let the hot air steam my face. When the washcloth/towel is cold, about a minute or so, then I rinse the towel with water and wipe my face for a few times. After wiping off, I feel my face very clean and not oily at all.

Maybe this is a good idea but I don't really fancy the thought of having so much oil on my face.

I understand that. I had that concern at the beginning too. But it's amazing that after I have applied the oil cleansing method, it seems like my face is not as oily as usual which is good for me.

Natural oil cleansing method is the best. Chemicals have a lot of side effects.

Yes, I just started to learn how to reduce using commercial products or chemicals, especially on my young children. I didn't know actually there are many natural ways that work better and easier to do too.

Its used a lot as a hair conditioner here but mixed with other ingredients. I permed my hair once well the Hairdresser did and she burned it all and jojoba saved the day along with something else in it but its very good.

I had tried stomach cleansing. Boiled a pot of water with white radish, carrots and mushrooms. No need any seasoning. Drink up, you will have a couple of runs and feel that your stomach had been pumped out.
