I'm a big fan of Blue Bloods and tonight the show airs at 10:00 pm with a special guest star for the 150th episode. The guest star is Isaiah Washington, who has been in the acting business a long time. He plays Travis Jackson ESU Chief (Emergency Services Unit) and on the show he is 63 mandatory age limit and is told he must retire. He refuses and files a discrimination suit.
Should there be a mandatory age limit to retire? I'm looking forward to watching this episode, as many of my friends are retired or retiring in a few years. We have discussed it and didn't agree with each other. I'm looking forward to hearing what others think of retirement.

Washington was playing older than his real age. People may remember him as an original cast member of grey's Anatomy.

I know the hours will go by fast today while doing some baking. My house smells good already, as the cookies are done.

for certain jobs there should be a mandatory age but if you pass mental/physical tests you should be able to keep your job.
You couldn't really be a front line police officer into your seventies.

I agree that there comes an age for certain jobs. It was an interesting discussion at my last potluck gathering with neighbors about the number to retire. I felt it depended on the job and tests, so it will be interesting to see how the show addresses this issue.
