Thrifty Shopping post for 4/1

I strive to be as frugal or thrifty whenever I can, saving money or being able to stretch my dollars as far as they can has been a big deal for me ever since I can remember. I have shopped at thrift stores my whole life and 9 times out of 10 would rather buy the majority of household stuff and clothes there than to buy at a big box store. I also am as thrifty as I can be when grocery shopping. I try to get the best deals on GOOD stuff for meals for the week ahead, and try to spice it up and get something new each week. I have found some pretty great meals by shopping what's on sale, and have made some pretty great recipies this way as well. Winn-Dixie is my go to store for groceries at the time being. Besides Walmart and Walgreens, it is pretty much the only store avaialble in DeFuniak, which is the town we go into to do our grocery shopping. I pay attention to the sales and use my Winn Dixie/Plenti rewards card whenever possible to save even more. This week I scored some great deals on some favorites and even some new stuff, or stuff we haven't gotten in awhile: - Zatarain's Black beans and Rice were 3 boxes for $5, that is sides for three meals. So great find there! -Hamburger/Chicken Helper was two for $3, one is stroganoff and the other is sweet and sour chicken. There's two meals there. -Dole salad blends were two for $4, so I grabbed two of those as well. Probably the best deal I scored this week was ground pork. Two pounds for $6. I will use one of those pounds with the stroganoff and the other with a different recipie. Overall I think I did pretty good, I got some other stuff, and found a few other deals. And only spent $123.98, and this was with wine and some medications.
