Starting my diet tomorrow

I've not been eating healthy due to lack of funds to get nutritious foods. The family went shopping tonight cuz I got my SS check today. They did about 60 percent of the food and will get the rest tomorrow. I was glad to see the portion controlled entrees in the freezer random oranges, grapefruit and bananas in the fridge. I was also glad to see the froze strawberries, peaches, mango and pineapple for smoothis.
Hope we stay in healthy foods all month. Ingles had lots of 10 for 10 sales and BOGOs buy one get one free sales. Got lots of fish fillers and shrimp too.
This pic is me a few years ago before I got sick. It was taken 6 years ago.

I am eating lots of protein such as cottage cheese and yogurt. I also eat small entrees because they fill me up. I had a gastric bypass in 2001 so my stomach is smaller.

We went grocery shopping today too, and got lots of veggies, and some new things to try as well.

Best of luck. I recently re-started Weight Watchers. I've already lost three pounds.

Good for you. I hear they changed their system again and people had to buy new calculators and stuff. My brother lost 160 pounds on weight watchers. I was never very successful. I lost 22 pounds and just stopped losing.

@OreoBrownie -- I stopped going to the meetings for that reason (annual points recalculation to sell calculators). I have an app on my phone and it works great.

Thank you. I wasn't sick when that photo was taken. It is about 5 years old. Big difference to now.

I love smoothies. My daughter hasn't made any yet. She makes them with bags of frozen fruit, yogurt, milk, bananas, and slim fast and milk.

@OreoBrownie I recently purchased a protein powder and I've been using that in my smoothies. It's vanilla flavored, which I like, so it adds a little vanilla sweetness to whatever I make. So good!

This is very important to have nutritious food. If nothing is available I always prefer Aloe Vera juice and save some money. This is an all round diet. In many occasions and times, I tried it. It gives what one requires. Not more not less. This is a life. If once the down starts it will be difficult to pick up.

I agree. I tried aloe juice before. It is good mixed with other juices.

I don't get a paper social security check but it is deposited to my checking account around the third day of the month.
