What Do You Look Forward To This Spring/Summer?

I enjoy fresh fruit. I know that many are going to be expensive this year but I am still going to enjoy it. I look forward to a friesh pineapple. I am also in hopes of finding a ripe cantaloupe this year. The last few years we have not found a ripe one. Ugh! So cully and tasteless. We have a fruit stand about three blocks away and I am going to try there. I would also like to get on my mountain bike. The green belt is closed until June because of heavy flood potential. But I do hope to make on my bike after several years of not being able to. So, what things do you look forward to this spring/summer. Family activities? Food? Vacation?

I'm hopeful that I can ride my bike once again as I've not been able to for several years because my knee has been so bad. We ended up with the flooding that I was hoping we wouldn't get this year. The ground must have been frozen down far enough to not be able to take all the rain we got, but luckily most of the flooding is near the rivers where there are not any houses. Just parks and golf courses mostly,. It was expected that the water table would start going down last night and get better yet today with the warmer weather, but we'll be having several more days of rain both this week and the next so maybe the floods will be there again. That fruit salad in the picture sure looks yummy. I enjoy eating more salads in the summertime. I eat them some in the winter, but since I'm always cold I don't eat as many. I don't eat as many fruits as I'd like because I'm always on the run unless I'm mylotting or sleeping. We are hoping to visit my husband's family again this summer sometime for just a couple of days. My husband inherited some tools from his dad and we have to pick them up. And, if we can afford it I'd like to go to our church headquarters which is in Ohio for a weekend get together in August, but we'll have to see how the bills are doing for that since we stay in a hotel when there. What I mainly look forward to in the spring/summer is no more snow or cold weather. I'd love to be able to be a snow bird for the winter months, but that may never happen.

I love fruits that cools my body. I am not much into any of the activities Since my family is shifting to a new house. I am busy in some of my personal works and even planning on going to some holy places as pilgrimage after going to our new house.

A friend and I are planning on hiking Mount Katahdin in Maine sometime this summer. I'm currently in pre-hike mode and working my tush off to get ready. I unfortunately, or fortunately, watched Wild last year and decided I was into hiking which I've never done in my life but I'm looking forward to it. I've been meaning to get more active and this is the perfect excuse to do so.
