Crocs in the ZOO pretended as if they are dead.

I am in Lucknow city which is one of the best city of India and have heard that zoo of this city is very famous. So took a time and went to watch it but it was disappointment as most of the animals were in their houses and did not come out due to heat.Temperature yesterday was very high. While watching crocodiles in pond it look as if they are dead but I have seen how active they are when they see their prey. That's for sure it is the ugliest creature in my opinion. What do you say? Have you seen crocs?

@sjvg1976 I saw crocs & gharials at various zoos & Guindy Snake park, Chennai. They may be ugly, but they are very very cunning & intelligent

I think crocodiles like to stay still and perhaps they are sleeping in daytime and they hurt much more at night. It is the best cover when they don't move at all and it is easier for them to catch the food.

They have to be very still - that is how they hunt in the wild. they wait for the prey to come to them. And when they get very close.. BAM. They catch them!

I've never seen a croc in real life. I'm not a fan of zoos either so don't go to any.

It's temperature that keep animals in lazy situations. But again animals also do need time to rest.
