Lemon is rare in our country but we have native lemon, we use it to marinate what we grill or barbeque together with other ingredients, I squeeze it to fish and other sea foods, also for making lemon butter sauce, we also drink it as juice or home remedy hot or cold

@TheInvisibleMan its not that cultivated here commercially, Filipinos are more fond of a native variety called " calamansi" that is available whole year round but I am not sure if they are true lemons

I love our native lemon called "kalamansi" in Filipino. I use it in sour soup (seafoods), grilled meat and seafoods, etc., in ginger tea as a remedy for cough, in iced tea, etc. I even use it everyday as underarm whitener. That lemon on the photo is expensive here in the Philippines.
