Marsha's Log: Easter

Easter has come and went. I hope everyone had a very nice day.
Our day was full of church activities and family.....I love having the family together.
Breakfast at church at 8 am, which is always great. At 9 am the children had an egg hunt. This year they each found eggs numbered 1 to 13. Inside were the resurrection eggs items---wine cup and wafer, thorns, stone, etc, along with a piece of paper with the Bible verse talking about each item. They were each given a nice bag of candy at the end of the hunt.
Church service at 10 am. It's always nice to have both my son and oldest daughter to attend church.
Once home I got the baked potatoes going in the oven. They made a nice meal with the fixings and fresh fruit to go with them. That was followed by the egg hunt here at home for the children.
I chose this picture as it shows the majority of them at once. Missing a few, but I didn't think to get a picture of them together before the hunt began.
Everyone was gone by 4 pm, and of course I was exhausted. I didn't even really feel like getting on the computer at that point, but I did do some of my traffic exchanges. I also got out my sewing machine and finished up a project. I plan to share that in another post.
Nice day today and I get to stay home ALL day. Unfortunately there is a ton of housework to get done. I'm up and down from the computer while I work to get things done.
How was your Easter?

I'm glad you had such a nice day. We spent it at home, My 2 year old wasn't feeling well, so between baskets, making food, and a small egg hunt I was snuggled up with him. He's feeling much better today.

Glad he's feeling better...terrible when the children are sick on a holiday (or anytime really)

Easter was full of family and food. No little kids were present. I was very tired when I got home last night.

Just quiet time at home. No kids to do any egg hunting but today we still had Easter Monday and the way I feel after having snow at Easter I might just spend half a day at least in bed tomorrow. I am exhausted.

You are lucky you have family that attended Church with you and was with you at the party at your house. I had a quiet day at home as my husband had to work and my relatives are scattered.

That sounds like it was an early day no wonder you crashed before supper. We attended church too that day but not until 10:45am. at three pm we headed out to my brothers house which is where we go for most family gatherings. He has a decent sized home and he has most of the grandchildren so he also has the toys they play with.
They hide plastic eggs in their yard which the younger kids try to find and the older kids help to find the ones not seen by anyone else. We then have a meal at their home. We used to play cards with the adults and my mom before and after the meal, but now that my mom has dementia and can't see much at all we've been watching the twenty year old kids play their games.
I had fun watching my mom interact with a six month old baby that was there. Nowadays most of us can't understand my mom when she talks. Even though it sounds like she's putting together valid sentences most of her word combinations are all mixed up, but when she was talking to the baby every word was right. That was so cool. My sister took a lot of pictures of the two interacting and I'm hoping to share a few of them here soon.
