Have you ever received a weird/strange gift?

At my last job we used to exchange gifts on Christmas. It was a secret Santa exchange. One Christmas I received a torch as a gift. Well I didn't expect to receive a torch and that too for Christmas. I am still wondering why i was gifted the torch. Certain things will always remain unanswered I guess. Has something similar ever happened to you?

@Nawsheen, LOL!! Yes,once I had received a weird gift.A couple of years back one of my friends gifted me a brassiere.

Maybe they were on sale and a flashlight is always useful to have around the house. I can't think of any strange gift I have received.

I guess it's suitable for male or female. The giver must have thought it was okay or perhaps they were just gifting on an unwanted present. I can't really remember getting any strange gifts.

I would definitely like to know what the person was thinking when she bought this. Maybe one day i might find it useful. A box of chocolates would have make me happier since it was christmas

maybe the torch has some significant meaning to you, from your friend? maybe your friend thought you needed a light when you are in your darkest days? hahaha! just my wild idea.

Lol... Maybe the person didn't get anything else to gift.. Same happened with my mom. She gifted a very beautiful gift to someone and in return she got something silly, don't remember what was that...but we felt bad

I received a hummingbird feeder from a man where I walked, and then a TiVo! He wouldn't take them back and we're both brand new. My husband was not very happy about that!

That can be bad too. I usually have this problem when i buy things over the internet. Sometimes they are too tight that i have to give them away. But if they are large my mum tries to adjust them for me

No, I didn't get any gifts like this but I got a very good angel doll in my school days and that too on my birthday but still i don't who gifted me that beautiful doll :-)

Just once I think... I got a thimble from a guy. He was referring to a scene from Peter Pan. The surprise didn`t work. I don`t specially like Peter Pan. But I appreciate someone trying to be original, generally. :)

Luckily I never got any such gifts. But this is really weird to give a torch as gift... Is there electricity problem in your area so your well wisher gifted you a torch..lol
