Tasty boiled peanuts

This vegetable vendor comes selling vegetables every Wednesday. She had raw peanuts for sale. Raw peanuts are not easily available atleast here where we live. I bought some. They had to be washed thoroughly as there was mud on them. I boiled them with salt. I shall have them for breakfast. I enjoy peanuts in any form but boiled peanuts taste the best. I remember eating boiled hazel nuts at my niece's place in the US. They taste just as good. What nuts do you boil and neat?

Adding salt increases the taste. The taste will be very dangerous also. Once we taste them we go on preferring them without any break. But in journey they are not advisable as they spoil the surroundings

That applies to all nuts. Once you start eating them you cannot stop.

We also eat the peanuts in this way. But we will not eat them as breakfast. They are for snacks only.

I like peanuts.. I too have never boiled them. I have eaten them direct from shell or by them all ready shelled and roasted- my favorite is Honey Roasted (with salt).. those are so yummy!

I have eaten those honey roasted and they taste good. But boiled peanuts have their own taste. They are not crunchy but soft.

Boiled - interesting - I don't think I've ever had that! I do get raw nuts whenever possible . . . I am able to get the shelled raw ones in bulk in our health markets. I do love the roasted and salted though - always tasty - but I know the raw is much healthier (which is tasty too).

@allknowing We like to sprinkle chopped up peanuts onto Asian style salads (there is peanut salad dressing too but I don't make that myself).

My grandpa grows peanuts in his garden. We always look forward for harvest time. We usually put the peanuts to boil in a pressure cooker by adding some salt to it. So yummy

I do the same. Once I had sown some peanuts - just a tiny patch but there was so much excitement when we could pull out those peanuts from under the ground

Yes, I also liked peanuts cooked that way, boiled. Sometimes, I would buy half kilo , boil it and we eat it for the whole day. So delicious. Although there are vendors who sells them fried and spicy. Others coat it with sugar. They're all delicious but boiled ones are the most tasty for me too, just like you like it .

Oh, I think I have tasted the kind of peanuts that you have there before... They tasted really nice especially when eaten freshly boiled - very soft...
