Women: Do You Play Dress Up Game?

When I was a child, I always notice girls always play dress up game. It is really fun seeing my sister plays in my mom’s closet. In my own opinion, girls started to dream to be somebody or someone in the future. Walking in heels, dressing fancy clothes and do some make ups are one of the best activity for girls to do. I am sure most women out there had been in the same childhood experience. Did you play dress up game before? Image Credit: pixabay.com

Oh yes my cousins and I we did play lots of dress up games. Our parents even got us those make up for kiddies. And we used to wear the high heels of our moms even though they did not fit

@Shavkat yes it was fun. And when we think over it now we can't keep laughing about how innocent we were. At times we were doing role play games. I remember we were playing little red riding hood. And the one playing Riding hood would wrap herself in a red scarf and the wolf would colour her nose black with make up. Lol

@Nawsheen I agree. Some boys can be joining in like house play in the yard. They have their own roles.

My mother had a trunk of old clothes for dress-up. We didn't actually go into her closet. We had the shoes and jewelry but never make-up. My mother didn't have any for one thing. My mother actually had a surprise birthday party for me once and all the kids (girls) were dressed up like ladies for a tea party. I had to go change into a dress-up outfit and cried the whole time. My mother never gave another surprise party.

@Shavkat One person reacts badly and my mom thinks it will for everyone forever. When I told her I had a friend have a surprise party for my daughter for her 13th (?) birthday my mother winced and asked what my daughter's reaction was. She thinks everyone is going to react the way I did when I was, what, five years old? My daughter loved her surprise party. Come to think of it, we gave my other daughter a surprise party for her 13th and it was the greatest success - the surprise, the games, the prizes. Everyone loved it.

That's a great experience. Bitterness when it stopped for the surprise parties. I am sure you had enjoyed your childhood years.

@patgalca I think you are a great mom. Whatever happens in your childhood years, it would be nice to give it to your children now. I know that it was a learning process to be a mother. Your children look up to you as the hero of their lives having a surprise party.
