I wanted to post this in a comment for OceanTiara ( @TiarasOceanView ) in her discussion about forests, but for some reason the photo would not load, not from my cellphone nor on my main computer so I will try to add the image here. This particular campgrounds is in the vecinity of Mt. Palimar, the location of a famous telescope. As attractions, the property has a miniature horse, a huge cow, and some goats.

We stayed at a campground in Ireland which had quite a few rare livestock breeds. I was very interested in them and took lots of photos.

@abhinalstrikr That is exactly how I feel. I missed the forest very much all the years when I was working in the city.

Photos must be less than 3MB in file size in order to load. The most likely reason that your photo didn't upload is because the file size was too large. Reduce the size of the image in a photo editor and try again.

@drannhh I find that a longest side size of about 1024 pixels (usually about 800 for the shorter side) works well.

@owlwings Thank you! My ResizeMe setting is much smaller than that, only 320 x 200 but maybe it is OK.

You are probably right @owlwings . I did run my photo through a program called ResizeMe but maybe I didn't save it right. Seems to be working now.

This looks like the last discussion in many months. Are you still away on vacation somewhere?

@1hopefulman I am away, but not camping. In fact I had planned to go camping again this month, but a dear friend took ill and I am taking care of him, which sometimes doesn't leave me time for much else. He does seem to be getting a bit better though.

I can't see the brook, but it looks like a nice restful area. I'm glad you posted it as a stand alone, for that allows me to comment on your image as I wouldn't be able to on her page.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, I had to wait until after retirement to do this sort of thing.

@drannhh It's apears that she's since removed the block, and maybe it was unintentional like it's been with others in the past and even myself for one member recently, but I caught that one within the same day. I like hanging out in the woods, but I don't have any of those types of places near me currently. Maybe when we retire we can arrange that.

I love the shaded view there. We once went to a camp where we were greeted by a pot bellied pig as we cooked our outdoor breakfast. No one knew where it had come from to join the frolic.
