Tomorrow it is a holiday in my country and in many countries of the world.
Tomorrow is International Worker´s Day. It is interesting to learn why this day was set and how it has changed its meaning.
And while the reason to use this date has to do with the US, this country celebrates Labour Day in another month.
Did you know that not all countries celebrated International Worker´s Day the same day?

It is good that the day exists in some form in most countries. Workers need to be recognized, but wonder what benefit they day will bring?

That is very interesting. I had no idea that there was an actual international workers day. I assumed there would be a labor day but I kind of thought it was just wherever the countries would find it most convenient to place it haha

Labour´s Day is a very political day in many countries. I would not choose tomorrow to go visit.

@DesirousDreamer I would not visit in this day. And many people just don´t go out. So buses and trains do not circulate much.

@LadyDuck I see. It seems to me that the US considers even mild leftist ideas as communist ones.

@marguicha I know the reason. The U.S. chooses not to celebrate Labor Day on May 1st because that is considered a socialist holiday, associated with strikes, rebellion, and in some minds, even Marxist revolution. So they celebrate on another day.

@NJChicaa I thought so. Is there any special reason that it happens that day?

I agree. But there are several that are kept in most part of the planet. I read here sometimes posts about being the "day of the hamburger" or the "Day of the clothespin".
This is not one os such.
