A couple days ago I went out to the mailbox and just before I got there the wind kicked up just a little, it was enough to blow sandy dusty mite filled junk into my eye. The stupid thing is sooooo itchy I just wanna scratch out my eye.
It's happened before so I know it's simply a waiting game then my eye will be all better ..... I hate those damn noseeums.
I hope you don't have any of these lil pests. Now to do a rain dance, that should put them out of my misery.
Sooo, whats up in your neck of the woods .... or desert?

Ouch. Are there any eye washes available that can help? I live in allergy land, so this time of the year all of the allergy medication shelves are empty.
Hope you're better soon!

Thank you, it'll be better as soon as it's hot enough for those biting lil pests to go away. There are lots of people down a ways that have horses, cows, pigs, llamas, donkeys, chickens and who knows what else so when the winds kick up they blow any teeny insects might hang around those kritters into our community, it'll pass eventually.

I can't believe I didn't get a notification for your response. Sorry for the untimely response.
I used an eye wash the first time which did not help then the when it happened a second time I started washing my face more often which seemed to help. I'm healed already which I am thankful for.

Well, hopefully you'll get the sunshine and we'll get some rain @Morleyhunt
If we do get a good rain it usually comes down fast and furious for a few minutes, it rarely lasts more then 15 minutes.

@rebelann we had the wind yesterday. It was driving the rain. In fact it was a battering rain....hope to see a few minutes of sunshine today.

The first time it happened I did the whole eye drop/wash thingy but it didn't help. The second time I just washed my face a lot, it would seem the soap and water worked better than the eye drops. I'm all healed now and being a whole lot more careful.

It actually happened twice. For some reason the winds have been blowing into my region from a different direction than previous years which makes me wonder if that's what is causing the problem. It is such a strange year so far.

Ahhhhh!
Well, that sure scared me!
I am getting to play with extremely high pollen counts, Ann! My eyes swell closed so I can't see to drive! I get to miss work and since I can't see to myLot, either, I sleep all day. *sigh!*1 person likes this

I have friends with those kinds of allergies, it's horrible so they get shots every year to prevent it from happening.
I'm gonna get a pair of goggles that welders and wood cutters use to protect their eyes, those jumping bean noseeums are still out there and I love bein outside so they're crampin my style and I need to do somethin.

Liz and Carmen usually get their shots before the allergy season starts @DaddyEvil of course I only know what they tell me so I can't say if it's for real.

@rebelann I get shots every time I go to the doctor with my eyes swelled closed like that... I also give myself shots sometimes, too. (Usually, I only give myself the shots when the allergies cause my throat to swell partly closed.
The shots only stop what is happening right then. I may have another allergic reacting again a day or two later and have to go back and get another shot, assuming I can get someone to take me back to the doctor again.

Yes, I have healed and now I'm much more careful.
Oh shoot, the winds have been blowing in from a more southerly direction than usual, maybe it blew in some beach bugs ....... ok, that sounds funny but it would make sense, kinda, maybe??
