My brother rents his apartment in the city where he works. He does not know about housekeeping. Mother and I would need to be there at least every 6 months to clean up his house. We went there last Wednesday and the house is really horrible. The bathroom and sink is so yucky. Lots of dust and cobwebs and very disorganized. We spend 1 and a half day there to finish the cleaning. Are you good in housekeeping or you depend on others to do it for you?

He really should learn. I am surprised he could live in that condition.

I don't know why he doesn't like doing house work. He would choose to live in that pitiful condition than try to clean the house every now and then

@averygirl72 he could hire someone but waiting for a clean in 6 months is an awfully long time

I work in a kitchen and have to clean the whole place so I'm pretty good at cleaning.
You are just enabling your brother in his bad habits
Teach him how to clean up then refuse to do it for him again.
Then he will have to do it himself, hire a cleaner or live in a dirty place.
If I was you I certainly wouldn't be cleaning up after him

You work in the kitchen, is that your job? It's actually okay on our part for us to help him but he should just exert some effort so it won't be so gross

That's true you should learn to be independent and responsible once you try to live in your own

Your brother will never learn to be more organised and cleaner if you do it for him. But I'm sure I'd be doing the same.
