Sweet and spicy dilis

This is one of my favorite snack. Spicy dilis or anchovies. They are crunchy. I love eating the whole little fish. It's colored with red orange food color and coated with cornstarch, sugar and some chilli. Is this popular in your place?

the fishes look very familiar and though we deep fry we don't add the colour.

I don't know the reason but I usually see the colored when I buy them. When I made some homemade dilis I don't add color

Vince likes anchovies but they are just dark coloured and not crunchy.

Dark colored, I haven't seen a dark colored anchovies. Maybe the big ones

@averygirl72 Mostly we just have them on pizzas so maybe they have sauce or something on them to make them dark.

No, it's not even known in our place. We have anchovies fillets in olive oil here.

Never heard ,seen such spicy crunchy fish snacks , i don't think its available here. Think have to travel all the way to Philippines to get them

Just the other week I was eating sweet anchovies sold by the vendor roaming around in our village. I really love the taste of this fried sweet fish.
