Welcome to this weekend’s Suddendeath poetry challenge, To Drink

Centralia, Missouri
May 6, 2017 7:59am CST
Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: tea, coffee, booze, milk, water -------------------------------------- To drink or not to drink, that is the question, Then once that’s answered one must make a concession To know what to place in the glass oh so tasty, Oh no one must think and not be too hasty, Water or tea, milk or coffee divine A million of booze types that taste just fine. A million of teas and coffees too Knowing what to drink is hard to do. For me at the moment tea it will be, I start my day with my normal cup of chai you see!

Let me try this week too. Why this cup of tea is on my table? Only coffee to drink I am able. Booze in the morning is surely to avoid, this is something that also knows Freud. I hear the water boiling in the pot soon my coffee will be ready and hot.

Dearest Doris, come over on the boat at fifteen, you surely packed a tea pot and cup along with your knowledge born young, honey and whiskey booze perfect for a scratchy throat and perhaps a slurp of hot water, no coffee in your cupboard, biscuits at the ready and milk for the weak, cream for the sturdy English as you were your accent livening the hallway as I headed down wakening the poet slumbering steady you go, lass, steady you go.

Well done! I like chai too. I have a couple flavors to choose from. My favorite is vanilla chai.

T drink or not to drink. I love a challenge but I'm going to have to think about this one for a bit.
